Fencing in New Hamburg
Fencing in New Hamburg, across the older village streets and the newer builds on the edges of town.
New Hamburg's older core has the kind of lots where a fence quote has to start with a look rather than a measurement: mature trees with roots through the whole line, outbuildings and garages that form part of the boundary, and old fences that have been patched by three owners in turn. Post positions move around roots here more than anywhere else we work, and that is a design decision worth making before material is ordered. The newer builds on the edge of town behave like any other subdivision — clay, swales, and a grading plan to respect. The Nith River runs through the middle of town, so some properties are in or beside a regulated area where the Grand River Conservation Authority may need to give permission before a structure goes in. New Hamburg is in Wilmot Township, so Wilmot's fence by-law governs heights, not Kitchener's, and we confirm it for the specific address.

Frequently asked questions
Do you charge more to work out in Breslau or New Hamburg?
No. The townships around Kitchener are quoted on the same terms as the city. What can change a quote is what is on the property rather than where it is — a long rural run, a fence line through bush, or ground that needs a machine rather than a hand auger.
Do the by-law heights change outside Kitchener?
Yes, and it matters. Each municipality writes its own fence by-law, so the same fence that is legal in Kitchener can be over height a few minutes down the road. The heights quoted on this site are Kitchener's Chapter 630 figures. For a property in a township, the township's by-law is the one that applies and we check it before quoting.
